Bill Gempler started his Monroe, Wisconsin tire business in 1939, making easy mobile repairs for farmers. His company quickly earned a reputation for "bend over backwards" service - always looking to make life easier for working men and women.

Over the years, Bill and others expanded the company, searching out thousands of products that make the hardest outdoor jobs easier, field testing them to make sure they did what they were supposed to.

The beefy Gempler's "Big Book" became the trusty companion of hard-working folks and companies all across America - found in workshops and tool sheds big and small.

But today, fierce internet and big box competitors have put more pressure than ever before on small independent companies like Gempler's. We’ve got to roll up our sleeves and rededicate ourselves to the things that matter most to us, and you.

Things like finding the best and most innovative products. Pricing them fairly. Giving you friendly, helpful service every time you call. Backing everything with our guarantee. And, if you’re a small business, doing everything we can to help you grow.

My name is Carl Atwell. I've been an admirer of Gempler's for many years. In 2018, a group of friends and I bought the company. It’s like a dream come true.
