Use appropriate lighting when driving farming equipment on the roadways in the low light and evening hours. Lighting requirements can vary by municipality or state.  According to the ASAE standard S279.10, equipment that obscures the effective illumination of any flashing warning lamp, tail lamp or extremity lamp on the propelling machine should have the following: 

a) at least two red tail lamps
b) at least two amber flashing warning lamps
c) rear turn indicators
