Rat Zapper Frequently Asked Questions
Q. What is the difference between the Rat Zapper Classic and the Ultra?
A. You’ll get longer battery life and about 30 kills per set of regular D-size batteries with the larger-sized Rat Zapper Ultra, which can accommodate bigger rodents as well as small mice. It also comes with a special battery check light. Q. How do I clean the Rat Zapper?
A. Follow the steps below to clean the trap.
1. Remove batteries.
2. Obtain a pan large enough in width and length to accommodate the Rat Zapper.
3. Fill pan with 1 inch of warm/hot water, a tablespoon of vinegar and an ample amount of dish
detergent. Set the Rat Zapper in the pan and let it soak for about an hour to loosen debris.
4. Use a soft bristle or bottlebrush and gently brush the inside bottom of the Rat Zapper.
5. To rinse, carefully allow a gentle stream of fresh water to flow over the cleaned bottom surface. Do not
spray the Rat Zapper out or allow moisture to intrude into the electronics that are housed at the top of
the Rat Zapper as this may cause the electronics to short out and impair the Rat Zapper’s
performance.
6. After cleaning and rinsing the bottom of the Rat Zapper thoroughly, place it with the open side face
down to allow the water to drain and air dry completely.
