Did you know?
As of December 31, 2011, everyone who works on roads traveled by the public (including private property) MUST wear Class 2 or Class 3 ANSI/SEA 107-2004 approved high visibility safety apparel. This is in conjunction with the Manual on Uniform Traffic-Control Devices (MUTCD) final ruling that was published on December 16, 2009. This ruling states that all workers within the right of way of any roadway open to public travel are REQUIRED to wear class 2 or Class 3 ANSI/ISEA 107-2004 compliant high-visibility apparel by December 31, 2011.
What does this mean to you?
If you or any of your employees work on roads open to public travel, you and/or your employees MUST wear Class 2 or Class 3 ANSI/ISEA 107-2004 compliant high-visibility apparel as of December 31, 2011. This includes highway construction and maintenance crews, law enforcement, emergency responders, utility, traffic management professionals, or anyone working within the right of way of any roadway open to public travel, including roads on private property.
