A.
Stumps 12-18 inches wide require 8-12 ounces of Stump-Out. Stumps wider than 18 inches will require a minimum of 16 ounces. One bottle of Stump-Out contains 16 ounces.
How do I use Stump-Out?

A.
Drill 1-inch holes straight down from top of stump to depth of about 10 inches. Then into the side of the stump, about 4 to 5 inches down from the top, drill a 1-inch wide hole slanting downward toward the bottom of each vertical hole. The two hole ends should meet. It is important to drill the side holes slanting downward so the liquid (water, kerosene or fuel oil) to be poured into the holes won't run out. Also when the drill holes meet, a natural ventilation is created to destroy the stump when ignited. After holes are drilled as directed, follow this procedure.
            1. Pour 4-6 ounces of Stump-Out into each hole.
            2. Fill holes with water
            3. Let stand for four to six weeks.
            4. After four to six weeks, fill with kerosene or fuel oil.
            5. Let stand until kerosene or fuel oil is completely absorbed into stump (four to five weeks depending
                on size of stump).
            6. Pour enough kerosene onto the stump to ignite it.
            7. The stump will now burn with a smoldering red glow clear down to the root, until only harmless
                ashes are left.

For smaller stump disposal (12-18 inches wide), drill 2 sets of holes in each stump, proceed as directed.

For larger diameter stumps, 18 inches or wider, drill a minimum of 4 sets of holes. Proceed as directed.

For more efficient stump disposal, drill additional sets of holes in each stump. Proceed as directed.
Do I have to burn my stump?

A.
No. Although burning the stump eliminates the stump quicker. Stump-Out will still accelerate the process of natural decomposition without burning.
