they get put on overtop of disposable coveralls for sanitary purposes. They are easy to use, but the elastic top could be stronger, or snugger, as they sometimes do come off

These covers are great. I use them for walking in the yard when the grass is tall and wet, and also for keeping sneakers or shoes dry and mud free when getting in the kayak.
