I ordered the Gempler's mat a few months ago after having my previous tire mat about 30 years. My Gempler's replacement is larger and even studier than its predecessor - unusual to have a product today better than one bought so many years ago. (Sounds like an old geezer speaking.) With the mat so sturdy and laying so flat, I won't have to worry about tripping over curling corners as on turf mats.

My mat is at the back door on a wooden deck and does a good job of scraping off the dirt from the bottom of shoes. Since it has an open weave, rain goes right through and so does the air to help dry the deck beneath it, lessening wood rot. The mat is easily bent to stand on end to dry or to sweep underneath.

Sorry Gempler's, I won't be reordering anytime soon as I expect this mat to last 30 years. Thank you for a fine product.
