The primary reason I purchased this safety vest is for riding a bicycle. I purchased a safety vest from a well known big-box home improvement store. It was better than nothing but it had a half dozen hook & loop panels. Unfolding the vest and putting it on took about five minutes. In addition, the XL one-size-fits-all size made the vest hang over me like a robe.

This safety vest is very nice. The orange trim adds style. The zipper make the vest easy to put on and take off. When not used, the vest folds well. For hot days in the Sonoran desert ventilation is essential. For cold or cool weather the lime colored vest contrasts against a black windbreaker. When two motor vehicles and myself (on a bicycle) converged on the same intersection at the same time in broad daylight there was no mistaking my presence.

I consider this safety vest not just a purchase but an investment and an "insurance policy".
