I bought these for work shoes, they actually outlast the shoes! I have had the same laces on three different pairs and they have yet to fray or even look worn. I recommend these laces over any standard laces and even consider replacing the laces on brand new boots with these before wearing for first time.

I've put these laces in all my winter boots and two pairs of work boots. They stay tied nicely and the garish yellow quickly "dirties up" to a nicer construction beige. I recommend these laces to all. The price is right, expecially if they will "outlast the boots".
