I use it straight with my pump sprayer. Pour carefully as it leaves stains, it is dried blood afterall. I spray the plants most desired by the deer, then I spray a perimeter, the ground, fence posts especially wood that absorbs the product, even bits of cloth soaked in it hung on the wire fence or branches. Short wood pickets "painted" with it and placed in container gardens and pots works better that Irish Spring soap! It smells bad so Don't spray on a windy day or you'll not be able to even stand yourself! All this absorption hangs around for a few days but when you see the deer giving your yard a WIDE berth, its worth it!!!

Rabbits are killing my horse pasture grass. Despite 2 x 4 no-climb fencing, chicken wire, and sand bags, I can't keep the rabbits out. I sprayed this stuff around the entire fence line yesterday, and this morning there is fresh bunny poop everywhere.
