Standard winch is made of heavy-duty steel to withstand abuse. Simply weld to the trailer and use the 33" chrome winch bar (Item G50931, sold separately) to ratchet the winch strap (Items G50932 or G50933, both sold separately) when securing loads. Working load limit is 5,000 lbs. Breaking strength is 15,000 lbs. California Highway Patrol (CHP) rated at 12,000 lbs. Measures 8"Lx3-1/2;"Wx6"D; weighs 10 lbs. Meets all DOT (Department of Transportation), CHP (California Highway Patrol) and CVSA (Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance) regulations.
NOTE: Winches must be properly installed with ratchet pawl on top of toothed wheel to help prevent accidental disengagement. Do not use winches or winch straps for lifting or towing vehicles.
