The longer shut-off lever is a definite improvement over the older Dramm models, BUT the design of these new versions does not allow the high-pressure streams of water that the older ones did. When the lever is fully opened now, the best you get is a feeble flop of water out the nozzle about 6 feet or so, vs. the high-powered jet you used to be able to get, which we need daily to spray plants/trees, 20-30 feet sometimes. Even when just watering plants, the new valve makes it feel as if your water pressure's taken a nosedive. Give me the old model any day!

I do not understand why they do not add the large handled shut-off valve to other hose attachments such as the two-way or four way diverter.

This shut off is hands down way better than any I've ever used. The best feature is the long, easily turned lever. No more struggling with the short, hard to turn levers. Pricey, but the quality of materials means less cost in the long run. I bought four. Put one at the faucet and one on the end of the hose (2) with a cheap shut off at the end of the Dramm to protect it from dropping, etc.

Very useful to keep on the end of your hose - change nozzles without walking back to shutoff. I also use it with a homemade pvc extension wand. Very convenient and durable.
