I've been using the same ones for 10 (yes, ten) years for my residential yard. Probably 100 connect/disconnects per year. Never leaks, no stripped threads. Solid brass is the way to go. They work with the plated connectors, which I have to fight with to attach.

They work much better than the plated ones which corrode.

When shopping look for these, which have a serration on the male connector. The big give-awy, no plastic anything.

I work at an University greenhouse. We offen are disconnecting our hoses and hooking them up to an injector. The easiest and fastest way is to use quick hose connectors. However I have found that the expensive and cheap ones both leak. I ordered the Nelson Quick Connector, thinking they might leak less. Boy was I surprised, they don't leak at all!!! Not one drop!! I'm very pleased and I know our students are happier now because they don't get wet!!! Thank you!!!!
