I haven't tried them out yet - we haven't had snow or ice since I received them, but I'm pretty excited that it's waht I've been looking for. I am totally unable to walk on icy surfaces, but have to walk the dog despite the weather. I'm always terrified of falling. Think this will do the trick.

Bought these for my wife. I've had a pair for years and they work great. Get them BEFORE you break something. Now she can walk with her hands in her pockets.

I think of these as life insurance when it gets icy and I'm walking a 130-pound dog who tends to pull from time to time. Other brands will stop slips, but these are more hefty and can't possibly fall off or get twisted around.

I looked at people wearing Y..trax, and K.....a's today and saw that the Y..trax were slipping and the K....a's were developing ice balls under the balls of their feet. My Stabilicers did neither. When the 'spikes' on the K...'s wear out the entire thing needs to be replaced - my Stabilicers just need $5 worth of new pegs. The Y..Trax are too fragile for any serious trail hiking or bushwacking.
