Comments about Watershed Gore-Tex Rain Jacket:

The rain gear hasn't been tested yet in an actual downpour on my motorcycle, but it sure is easy to slip on with comfort to spare. However, it will get a good trial this summer as I travel on the bike. The sleeves could be a little longer, but I take care of that with the length of my rubber gloves. The lightness of the material is great a def plus due to my limited luggage space. But the light weight leads to my only real question... will it hold together under the rigors of cross country travel by motorbike? I'll see how that goes, but I'm confident that, even though ultra light, I doubt if it will rip or tear. I tugged and pulled at the rainsuit pretty hard and it gave no indication that it was about ready to split. I hope not, because due to the price I'd hate to have to replace it. I had to buy the bibs, then wait till I replenished my reserves before I bought the coat and hood separately. I really like the pretty colors (blue bibs and orange coat & hood). But if you don't like loud colors, I think it comes in green, which would prob be a little more subdued.
I've tried at least 5 other rainsuits; while they do the job of keeping me dry, these other suits are like putting on a straight jacket without help. I was wore out of energy before I even got going after wrestling with the bibs and coat. This outfit cuts way down on my "put on" time. The bibs slip on right over my footwear and the coat as well. It remains to be seen, but I'm wondering if there's going to be any seepage in the neck area, which is a real concern for any suit. I did several dress rehersals and I like what I see. Crotch area is another concern, which this suit passes with flying colors.
Motorcycling is great fun, but lots of work too and I'm convinced this suit will eliminate the struggle I have getting the thing on.
I like the button down snaps.
Oh, you'll enjoy the breathability, which Gempler's rightfully claims for this gear. With my other suits I'd be thoroughly drenched in sweat just getting it on. Even on a cool day I would be soaked through with sweat, which made me wonder why I even put the suit on... I got wet either way. Watershed has no equal in the comfort dept. I hardly knew I even had it on!!! The extra cost is worth it.
