Refill Cartridge for Flash Flood ® Eyewash Station
Refill cartridges each contain one gallon of saline, are safety sealed and dated and require a 6-month maintenance cycle. Unopened cartridges have a shelf life of up to 24 months, determined by date of manufacture.
The sterile solution in factory-sealed cartridges is superior to using ordinary tap water to manually mix and measure eye-
wash solution. Plumbed or other tank-type eyewash devices
may contain harmful bacteria, molds, fungi or other airborne contaminants that can contaminate the fluid and cause addi-
tional eye damage. A sterile or buffered saline solution is the most effective flushing fluid for emergency first aid.
