Primarily purchased for removing Russian thistle. The weight and balance are ok but the handle is about 8 inches too short for proper balance and use. I'm 6'2" tall and have to hold the tool by the very end to get the proper angle. This means that it doesn't balance for proper use for me. Other than that, the head is well made and has nearly ideal weight and width, and comes adequately sharpened. It should be easily resharpened when needed. It serves to grub out weeds much better than a regular garden hoe due to the head weight.

The head on this hoe will never turn or come loose. It is well made and sturdy. Handle is a good shape and easy to grip. There are no cons to this tool. I will not be able to wear this one out----therefore, a one time purchase that will last my lifetime.
