Extra-large feed opening measures 16" wide and 17" high to allow plenty of space for sows to comfortably eat and swallow with her mouth in the feeder. No twisting, turning or tossing of feed. Feed is dispensed when the sow pushes on the dispenser ring with her nose, dropping one or two cups of feed into the trough. When the sow is not pushing the rings, the hopper is sealed. The dispenser slows down impatient sows. Cast iron frame around the feed opening is rugged but with a smooth, no snag finish so animals cannot cut themselves. Tapered lip assures complete drainage after cleaning with a high-pressure washer. High density polyethylene construction won't rust or corrode and stands up to heavy-duty use. 24-lb. capacity hopper measures 7" deep, 16" wide and 14" tall. Feeder measures 16"Wx32"Hx16"D.
