Comments about Unlined Horsehide Work Gloves:

Not had gloves long enough to be sure about durability, but I have noticed a tendency for the fingers to get roughed up from wood splitting and carrying split chunks of wood. This may just be the surface integrity, but my experience with gloves tell me that these, supple, comfortable gloves will not make it through the winter's hauling of wood. They're very comfortable, but if I buy another pair, it will be for light duty in cool weather.

Comments about Unlined Horsehide Work Gloves:

Horsehide is the best leather for firewood handling
and other very rough work. Nothing compares with it. These gloves are better than some I purchased from you a few years ago. They are thicker and better sewn. They are worth the extra cost.

Comments about Unlined Horsehide Work Gloves:

Gempler's used to sell these at [$]. Even at the new price they're a great deal. Anyone who's owned a horsehide jacket can tell you how tough the stuff is - wears like iron. I've used these gloves for years for tough jobs - moving rocks, stacking firewood, carpentry. My kids borrowed a pair and left them outside on a rock in the woods where they sat for several months through a New England winter. The next summer I found them, put them on, and continued to wear them for another year. If I hadn't lost one, I'd still be wearing them.
