We thought this might replace our old Tyvek spray hats. These won't work. The brims and ear flaps are too stiff to see where we want to spray. They are well made, but better for fishermen with big heads/headgear to cover.

It keeps the rain off my hair without giving me "hat-hair" or ruining my hair style. The wide back rim keeps the rain from running down my neck. I just love the old fisherman's style of this hat!

I have to walk the dog at every time of the day or night. Many times in the middle of a rainstorm. The hat keeps water off my glasses and protects the back of my neck. It makes it much easier to wait for the dog to.... make up his mind. I bought this hat to perform a specific function; and it does the job perfectly(and is more comfortable than expected). I am very discriminating about my work clothes - and that goes double for foul or cold weather gear. I am glad I bought the hat - every single time it is needed - and would by it again.

saw a hat like this while in Alaska and didn't buy it. Your hat is GREAT and keeps head and neck DRY during a storm. LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT!!!!
