I work in natural area restoration and use the flagging tape to mark native plants that have been planted in areas with tall grass. The biodegradable flagging tape is so biodegradable that some tape has only lasted for a couple months. I know that the conditions affect the strength of the tape. Wind, temperature and rain all affect the longevity. If you only need to mark something very temporarily and/or you don't want to have to go back and retreive the tape then this is for you. If you need the flagging tape to last for 2-6 then this tape is great. If you need it to be there until you remove it, then go with a more permanent flagging tape.

Our main reason for purchasing this tape was to reduce / eliminate our use of plastic flagging tape. Overall we are pleased with it; however, it comes in plastic packaging! Argh.
