Poly Snow Shovel with Back-Saver Handle

Reinforced for extra blade life

Many poly-bladed shovels don’t hold up to the wear and tear of heavy use. However, these poly snow shovels are reinforced with a steel wearstrip to keep you moving load after load. These shovels feature a Lite-Wate™ aluminum handle with foam grip and an ergonomic Back-Saver® handle. 18"W high-backed poly blade can be used either as a shovel or pusher. USA made.

Comments about Poly Snow Shovel with Back-Saver Handle:

I can't say enough good things about the Rugg company and this shovel.

I wish every company I do business with was as good as Rugg. I just wish Rugg made cars and computers.

I shovel a lot of snow. Some people don't like the ergometric type of snow shovel. I could not function without it. It really saves my back. I have used a lot of other ergo shovels and this is the best one I have found.

I am 6 feet tall and it is the right size for me though some taller people did not like it.

It is not a pusher or a scraper. I have a regular sidewalk "pusher" type for that. If you only want one type of shovel and you want to be able to push, scrape and chop, you have to buy a heavy duty straight handle shovel. Rugg makes a lot of different configurations. Some have metal edge, some don't. Some have straight handles, some are ergo. Some have flat, old style metal blades, some have new style poly combo scoops. You can get steel or aluminum handles. I tried others, the one I like is the ergo aluminum handle with the poly combo scoop blade with metal edge. The handles I have snap onto the blade without screws. The snap mechanism works better than the screws, doesn't come loose.

I tortured mine all winter and it held up as well as any I have ever had. I wore my metal edge out and phoned the company to complain. They offered to send me a whole new blade with edge installed. I just wanted the edge so they sent me 4 of them, no charge for them or the shipping, 10 year no verification warrantee. Then, later, by my own fault, I broke the blade so they sent me 2 new ones, again no cost to me. Made here in Massachusetts! On my porch the next morning! ....John, Massachusetts
