The Kelway® SST tester allows you to easily get an EC reading for soil or liquids. An EC reading gives you the total amount of soluble salts in a solution. Insufficient or excessive soluble salts will cause poor plant growth. The SST gives readings in millimhos/cm (mho) for measuring soil solutions and parts/million (ppm) for measuring hydroponic nutrient solutions or water. A conversion chart is also included. Kit includes the SST meter, thermometer, calibrated test solution container, syringe and carrying case. Meter runs on one 9-volt alkaline battery (included). 5"Lx3"Wx1-1/4" D. Imported.
NOTE: Deionized or distilled water is needed for testing soil solutions.
