Steel Compost Spreader

Steel spreader quickly spreads compost and other materials

Easily rolls against a sidewalk or building for precise spreading. Loads and cleans through a 23"L x 7"W sliding door on the roller face. Mesh openings are 1" x 1/2". Spreader measures 24"W x 18" dia. with a 24"L handle and weighs 20 lbs. USA made.

              Product is very good when material to be spread is dry, otherwise drum gets clogged. Also, ground/grass also needs to be dry for the same reason. Locking latch mest be redesigned - very poor design. Also the two grooves on the sides that the cover that opens clog easily - maybe a larger groove would work.

              I was looking for an economical way to spread orgro compost around my front and back yard. Slinging compost with a coal shovel was a real pain. The units you can rent from landscaping yards are hard to push/pull when full. This unit worked extremely well! The latch for the door could be better. May have to rig something better if it fails. I will also have to make modifications to the handle so that it can be towed behind riding mower for inclines. On flat area it is easy to push/pull. Distributes compost evenly. I am happy with the purchase!
