I had rats in the shed where we store cattle feed. I would see as many as a dozen at a time, but after I used Rampage place pacs within 1 week or so they were gone. Note that it works best if you empty the contents out of the pac, other wise they just carry it off. dump it out right where they run, they really go for it so keep it out for them as long as they are eating it.
