Bought approximately 300 of these support rings. So much easier to use these clips than to tie with string or plastic tie tapes which are rendered useless after tying but the clips are re-useable. I bought these to anchor tomato vines to bamboo supports but expanded their use to securing cucumber vines and some unwieldy squash growth too. The larger hole allows the vines plenty of room to grow and the smaller part of the loop wraps around the bamboo support pole. I make teepees out of 3 bamboo poles over each vine plant and then clip the vines to the poles as the vines grow upward. After the season was done, I gathered the clips that didn't get damaged, sterilized them in a light bleach solution and saved them to re-use for next year's garden. Stored the whole bunch in one quart-size baggie.
