Comments about Dunlop Purofort Thermo Boots:

I run casing for the oil field in NW Oklahoma. I needed some tough winter boots that were gonna be durable, non slip, and resisistant to all the grit and grime I would put them through on a daily basis. Ill tell you right now these boots are rugged. Mud. No chance. Snow, ice, oil, grease, pipe dope, drilling fluids. No chance at getting through these boots. I get awesome grip in all conditions backed up by good flexibility. My boots get compliments often. Mainly about the wicked tread. The only flaw is that they dont keep your feet as warm as they claim. It doesnt get anywhere near -58° in OK and there have been a couple times when my toes were ice cubes. Perhaps that was because I was way up in the derrick not moving around much I dk. I like these boots a lot but im a little disapointed about the cold creeping in.

Comments about Dunlop Purofort Thermo Boots:

This is a popular boot among oilfield workers. I work on a drilling rig in northern PA. After seeing a bunch of other guys wearing this boot and getting great feedback I had to get me a pair. I'm glad I did. This is hands down the best winter boot I have ever worn. The temp dropped down to the negetive teens and my feet stayed warm. Although, you do have to stay moving to stay warm. They fit a little big but that is perfect for the thicker socks to be worn. They were terrible to break in though. After 5 days of continuous use they were still stiff. But now that they are broken in they feel great. The cusion is great and the support is great. They fit snug around my ankles. I'm now in the market for Dunlop's spring/summer version of this boot.
