Overall good quality but make sure you order at least 2" longer than your normal inseam.

I had 1 of my employees in these chaps. He wasn't paying attention and ended up having the saw kick back into his upper thigh. The chaps stopped the saw and he was hopping around with an idling chainsaw stuck to the chaps - they said it was interesting to watch. The bottom line is that the saw never made it through the chaps and he never even tore his jeans. We reordered a new pair and swear by them

Have to still get used to them but after a friend nearly self-amputated his leg last year with a chainsaw (and he's a lot more experienced than I am) I saw first hand the folly of not using chaps - these seem reasonably comfortable, adjustable and I don't think will take long to get used to. They seem sturdy and reliable. I hope not to find out how protective they actually are.

The overall quality of the components is OK. The first time my husband used them he heard something tear. I had to resew the waistband back to the top of the chaps on one leg Was not expecting that. We'll see how they do next year.
