I use backpack sprayer in dry land forest spraying Guinea Grass. The harness helps a lot, but seems to be built to accommodate big bellies. Doesn't taper to hug hips- taper the other way. Still works, but less than optimal weight transfer to the hips.

The harness is great for moving around my rose garden. One other reviewer commented (before I bought the harness) that the straps that fasten the harness to the bottom of the sprayer are too short and tend to work completely loose. All the rest of the straps have plenty of length. The buckle is also part of the deficiency in that the straps slide through it too easily. It is frustrating to have the sprayer come loose on your back in the middle of a spray. I have tried gluing the ends of the strap so that they will not work through the buckle, but the glue I used just stripped off the strap. I'll try other glues. It is comfortable enough that I would recommend it to a friend with the caveat that it IS going to come loose from the sprayer.

These harnesses will save your shoulders big time! One problem is that the bottom straps that attach to the sprayer are not long enough and will slip out of the buckle from time to time.

This makes the backpack sprayer much more stable and comfortable to use. Wife likes a lot, too.
