Bought this Zapper (my second one) because the rodents had gotten to the wire connecting to the trip plate and had rendered the unit useless, Now, with the ultraviolet sensor, there are no wires! Only problem, if you want to call it that, is that the unit doesn't seem to be able to handle rodents larger than mice. I can hear them in the suspended ceiling, and the light flashes as if there has been a victim, but nothing there.

I live with several dogs so poisons were NOT an option and this product is safe to use AND WORKS well. I would recommend it for anyone looking for a sure kill alternative to poisons.

We use this product to control chipmunks around our condos. you also catch the occasional squirrel by mistake. They are very effective! The only negitive is if you put them outside you have to cover them or they dont work. A weather proof model would be ideal

I hated seeing mice suffer a slow agonising haemorrhaging death, or maimed / improperly killed by the classic mousetrap. I worried about secondary deaths from hawks, owls etc eating poisoned mice. I use the ratzapper in the barn where the horse & chook feed is stored, and in the house ceiling (between ceiling and outer roof), or any area I see evidence of mice. Fantastic. Had for about 2 years, Works great - I stopped counting number of mice killed after about 25! would have to be over 100. Recently caught my first rat! Sometimes trap registers it's 'not clean' so be sure to clean the upper inside roof & walls as well as the metal floor plate.

I bought the zapper, in gempler's supply and iI had never try something more effective. it work great, I have spend thousands of dollar trying to exterminate the rat until now that I found The zapper. I have nothing to compare. the grat thing about it: easy to operate,its great because it advise you whenever it kill a rat. I will buy it again and again if necessary.
