This item is certainly light weight but it doesn't have the heavy duty construction if you are trying to loosen up clay or hardpan soil. Used this for 30 minutes and it cracked.

This is the 4th pitchfork I have purchased in my 40+ years of gardening. All the other three had the blade separate from the handle. I guarantee this one won't do that. Very well made and is holding up well after extensive use.

I think this is a great, well constructed tool. Forks in general can be easily bent or damaged if abused. This one seems to be of a heavier construction that is less susceptible to damage.I use it in my compost piles. Truly a heavy duty product. And 100 % Made in USA- the best kind of product.
