I bought this for use as pretend water around the little tykes castle that we have for our grandsons. My husband made a bridge that goes to the door of the castle and on either side we have a blue mulch moat In the pretend water are plastic fish, an alligator & sharks.We put landscaping ties around the outside to hold it in and 6 bags was the perfect amount to do the entire front of the castle. It's been thru wind storms and rainy weather and it hasn't moved at all. When the grandsons play in it it doesn't track out, it stays put. I especially like the fact that the mulch comes in alot of colors since I could only find red, or brown at local hardware stores.

I use this a lot in garden walkways around the raised beds and also around all of my shrubs. It lasts so long where I used to have to mulch 2 and 3 times a year, I do once now, and then just add to it. The color adds a lot to it also. I prefer the red.
Just don't get too close with the lawn mower or blower, they are lightweight and move quickly....

I used the green mulch between the walk stones in a courtyard where grass would not grow well. The color of the mulch is darker green than grass and closer to the color of a spruce tree. This purchase was an experiment and the end effect was more than I could have hoped for. I will buy this product for more areas of my property and have begun to plan for multi-color areas.
