Have very heavy clay soil with lots of rocks and a hughe stone shelf. Bites right thru the clay and with a little angle work will diloge rocks and chew up stones. Just wish I had found it a lot sooner, as lost a lot of bulbs not being able to dig soil deep enough. I am handicap and had no problem working with it. thank you so mcuh for a wonderful product.

This product makes short work out of planting dozens of tulips, daffodils, etc. in even the hardest clay soils. I simply attached it to a heavy duty electric drill and bored holes in the earth, for fall bulb planting, faster than my spouse could actually plant them! Made to last a lifetime, unless you loan it out & it isn't returned! Highly recommened tool.

Used the auger to plant tulips, lilies, daffodils, etc. It was fast, easy to use, time saving and well constructed. I am very pleased with this product.

This auger is not only for bulbs. I needed to plant over 120 1 pint ground cover plants and once I laid out the "plan" and marked each plant's position, it was "zip, zip,zip" with the auger and I had the holes ready. Be careful to wear long trousers and eye protection and don't use high speed on the drill...experiment at slower speeds. [...] Well worth the time and effort.
