This is like wearing a blanket on your head. Much more comfortable than the old cotton or wool watch caps. The Omni Heat insulation adds the benefit of modern insulating technology, including breathability. Also, being synthetic, the material will not soak up and hold moisture from sweat, snow or sleet. To some, the bulkiness may be a minus, (it is bulkier than fleece) but having a close crop haircut, the fit is great on days where I need more than a fleece beanie. I wear this for common outdoor activities: snow shoveling, clearing the car, walking to and from work, etc...
