Have several chain saws in the family, and it never fails, a less than stellar chain on the saw you need to use. After reviewing several sharpeners, from hand held to mounted, I decided on this one. It works super,after mounting it (make sure you can traverse the head the required 30 degrees to the right and left) you can professionally sharpen a chain in less than 10 minutes.

I work at a state park in Washington and we use chainsaws fairly frequently in the offseason. Prior to purchase we used hand files to sharpen and this was very incosistent. Using this chain sharpener has prolonged the life of our chain, saved us staff time, provided better cuts and made our life easy! For the price this is a steal! Higher volume users should probably go with a higher priced/quality unit.

Use if for sharpening our Stihl chainsaw chains. Have only sharpened one so far, but so far so good.
