I bought the mittins for my Dad to help keep his hands warm while out working on the farm. Due to arthritis affecting his fingers, the mitten was the best choice for warmth and protection while allowing for a grip surface.

These are great for working in the snow and ice since they do not wet through. Leather mittens are warm until they soak through and become cold and slippery. These PVC Grip work mittens never soak through and never get slippery or stiff. They are great for running a snow blower or doing anything where your hands will in contact with ice and snow. I wear Gemplers glove liners with these so my fingers will stay warm when I remove the mittens to do delicate work. Using glove liners also help to keep the mittens from sliding off my hands. The polyester liners are easily removed so that they can be washed.

I use my mittens when I am on my tractor blowing snow so I can keep my road open, because I live 1 mile off of the main highway. I needed something that would stay dry, just wish they were a little bit warmer ohterwise they were just what I was looking for.

Use these mittens for serious blue-collar work outside in winter conditions (snow, ice and cold).
These are real work mittens, with a tough, traction exterior and thick, full insulation lining. Being mittens and not gloves is key, as they keep all of your fingers together inside, helping them keep each other warm. For most men the size options (L and XL)wouldn't be a problem, but for the small hands that I have, and women, they will feel too big and clumsy sometimes.
