Too early to say how these work out, Have tried several; different tarp holders none have worked out, Plastic does not work in cold Montana weather so have to wait until next winter to say good or bad. What I do not like is there are no instructions on how to assemble the two pieces to hold the tarp, if one guesses and does not work and one complains then the supplier can say you did not use them correctly. Companies like to sell things but do not really consider the small things that effect the use of the item by the customer.At this time the only really positive thing I can clearly state is:THEY ARE MADE IN THE USA [*]!!!!!

This is good for plain material you want to hold down, or a tarp with no rope reinforcement. It won't work on an existing tarp that has a rope border in the seam.

I had a heavy outdoor fabric which I needed to mount on some entry gates for privacy needs. These were easy to use and appear to be holding rather well. I have no idea how long they will last, but based on my initial impression, I imagine they will outlast the fabric! I would recommend these to anyone with a similar need.
