Comments about Brush Grubber Tree Puller w/ Metal Handle:

It seems to be a good idea, but the teeth simply don't have enough force to actually grab the brush trunk. It's great for peeling the bark, but it won't extract the trunk/roots.

Comments about Brush Grubber Tree Puller w/ Metal Handle:

I bought the product and it would not work at all out of the box. The clamp would not hold any brush and it would slip through the jaws. Some tinkering and loosening some of the nuts that were too tight from the factory and it began to work. Pulled about 6 small buckthorn plants out of the ground quite easily. Then tried to tackle one that about half an inch in diameter, it was stubborn so I put some strength into it and the Brush Grubber metal pole bent, and alarming easily. Was made out of very cheap metal. I bought it because it was the least expensive of the models I could find for a small area of buckthorn and it did not last a half hour. Buy a better one unless you are only tackling brush that could be pulled out by hand as this product (made in China) has some really flimsy metal.

Comments about Brush Grubber Tree Puller w/ Metal Handle:

Bought this product with hopes of dealing with small 1/2 inch diameter saplings. Does not have the gripping power to deal with these small trees. Might work better on larger trees but since most of mine are in the size indicated product is not of much use for the moment.

Comments about Brush Grubber Tree Puller w/ Metal Handle:

I tried it on small mulberry and cherry, the mulberry it did nothing to could not pull it crushed the stem, on the cherry it skinned it and would not pull it at all, it did work on one box elder. I live in IL and have good black soil, tried it with dry ground and after a rain, no difference.
