Brush Grubber ™ HD allows you to use your lawn tractor, ATV or light utility tractor to easily remove trees and brush. This heavy-duty version is constructed of 3/4" steel (compared to 1/2" on the original Brush Grubber) so that you can pull trees from 1/2" to 4" dia. Features 16 gripping teeth on pads that rotate 360° so the spring-operated jaws will not slip off. Ideal for permanently removing buckthorn and prickly ash. Weighs 12.25 lbs. Imported.
NOTE: Not for use with tractors over 30 hp.

I use this tool all the time to pull trees and shrubs using a towing chain and compact tractor. As long at the trunk is at least as big around as a shovel handle, it grabs on and doesn't let go. The only down sides are it doesn't hold onto small stuff or multi-stemmed stuff well, and it is pretty heavy. A strong adult is needed to wrestle this baby in under an offending shrub.

I have been using this to clear brush and small trees. The teeth grab the trunk eliminating slippage when you attempt to pull them out.
