        Comments about Brush Grubber HD:

We are using the Brush Grubber to remove invasive brush and thorn trees from our property. We have removed over 100 trees and brush with very little problem. It is labor intensive for the person affixing the grubber to the tree or brush. Not so much for the lucky one sitting on the tractor pulling the grubber. Works like a champ. Still have lots to do.

        • Pulling Sappling Stumps

        Comments about Brush Grubber HD:

I used the the 4" grubber to pull out 100-200 sapplings I cut off at about 3'. It works great... most of the time. I was pulling a lot of locusts, so the teeth would strip the bark and I'd have to go at the stump a 2nd time. However, this works brilliantly if you have enough power to get the stump out of the ground by it's roots.

However, I was disappointed that 1" steel arms didn't hold up longer. I don't know if this was an isolated issue, but I bent one of the two arms, so I don't get the pads to line up across from each other. I asked Gempler's if they have any warranty, and it's a limited warranty of 3 months. I suspect it bent because it's molded steel made in - you guessed it - China.

That said, it's useful enough that I've bought my second, and this time I'm buying the 5". The downside to the 4" is it doesn't have handles to pull the grubber off the stump, which takes a lot of effort if you're pulling several hundred sapplings.
