I had a neighborhood kid shoot a raccoon from a tree in front of our house a few months ago. I felt pretty foolish trying to figure out who it was with my maglite. Needless to say, I got this flashlight soon after the incident, since the sherrif didn't bother to do anything, despite the big bloodstain in the road. Makes me feel a bit safer at night, and is intimidating to those who use darkness to try to do things they shouldn't
