The pocket set up is what turned me on about Blaklader pants, and the bellow pockets front and rear are very nice. The tuck in pockets are at times handy, however they are very small if you really were going to use them as nail pouches, think DIY'er vs. Pro contractor.
Also these pockets would be far more handy if they were positioned at your sides instead of at the front...but then they would not tuck in.
They should have lower leg pockets as well in my opinion (all work pants should).
My biggest problem with them is they are offered only in even sizes, and thus mine are a little on the big side.
To sum it up, they need better sizing or an adjustable waist set up. Should have even more pockets, and likely could breath a bit better.
Still, at this time they have become my #1 work pants.

I got these pants for my husband in his regular size and they were too tight in the waist. I ordered him the next size up, and they seemed to work for him. Other than the waist being too small, he loves these pants! Nicely made, durable, and he likes the extra pockets. He will wear these to work on our farm, so durable, comfortable and extra pockets are a plus!

My wife and I had just come back from several weeks in Norther Europe, including Sweden. I had noticed that many of the workers were wearing clothing that made me comment "Why don't we have stuff like that in the US?" I even asked some of the workers how I could get clothing like this. Lo and behold, when we got home my wife discovered this product at Gemplers and just got it. Since we have other Gempler products (barnyard scrapers and squeegees,etc.) we "misuse" for our home in town (shoveling snow, etc.) we were pretty sure it would be "the Real Thing" -- and that's what these pants are. The only thing that surprised me about these pants is how comfortable they are. I've had tough workpants before, but they always felt like I was wearing a canvas tarp. These I actually keep wearing after I knock off work, since they feel that good.
