Product Information

Chelated Liquid Iron Supplement for Plants

  • Prevents or cures iron deficiency in plants
  • Ideal for turf, ornamental shrubs and trees
  • Makes iron immediately available to plants

If you have alkaline soil, then iron chlorosis may be causing new growth to have a pale green or yellow color. Iron chlorosis is caused by the lack of iron in the soil, or because iron is unavailable for uptake by your plants. This liquid iron supplement provides iron that is immediately available to your plants and remains in the soil for extended feeding. Liquid iron for plants is compatible with most tank mixes of fertilizers or pesticides. Mix 5 to 10 gals. of liquid iron for plants with enough water to cover one acre for turf application. For root feeding trees and shrubs, mix 4 oz. per inch of trunk diameter with 5 to 10 gals. of water and pour or inject around the drip line. Use 1 gal. in 64 gals. water for foliar applications. 1-gal. container. 4.7% iron oxide. USA made.

Comments about Liquid Iron for Plants:

I have a Pin Oak tree that has been suffering from Iron Chlorosis for more than 15 years. I have tried many treatments over the years with minimal or no success. From professionally applied iron implants, to various soil additives and fertilizers, nothing helped much. So this tree was slowly dying.
I have been using this product now for 3 years with great success! The tree is dark green again and doing well. One application in the early spring before the leaves come out seems to work well. I will do a second application in early summer this year to help with the second growth.
This is a fairly large tree about 50 to 60 feet tall. I use one gallon of product per application. Mixing about 16 oz of product to 5 gal of water and pouring this mixture around the drip line of the tree until I have used the entire gallon. I then water this into the soil well with a sprinkler.
I highly recommend this product for oak trees with iron chlorosis!

Comments about Liquid Iron for Plants:

I have found that certain plants show a need for iron by their foliage, and I have found using a gallon and a half sprinkling can following the directions on the jug, gives the best results.

This product greened up my yellowing tall fescue grass after only one application. Great product with a good price from Gempler's.
