I used these to mark the edges of my yard and driveway for winter. I also used them to mark my small christmas trees so my customers wouldn't step on them. I tied a piece of bright surveyors tape to the top and stuck them in the ground. It helps to make a pilot hole first in hard or rocky soil. I use a pointed steel stake. Compare the cost of these to those fiberglass driveway markers. These are WAY cheaper!

        Comments about First-cut Bamboo Stakes:

Useful as plant stakes to avoid wind damage. uniform size iis great, and they are STRONG. I have MANY other uses for them, like making perches for new hatched chicks, poking at things far out of reach, markers for driveway edges, layout stakes for farm buildings etc.

These bamboo stakes are very lightweight, and easy to install. They are a little flimsy, (because of the diameter). I will see how long they last in the weather.

            Comments about First-cut Bamboo Stakes:

the difference between the 1/2 inch and the 1 in. is major. The thinner ones are very irregular in thickness. While there is a major price difference the difference in quality is one of day and night. Think twice about saving money.
