Filling my Generator

[...] when I try to use the can with the pump, I can't get the gas to to squirt out at more than 1 teaspoon of gas per pump. Even if I hoist this 5 Gallon can up 6-7 feet (with a ladder) and try to let gravity help. It just doesn't work. The only way I got this to work was to swap the pump for the original nozzle (comes packed in box I guess as a backup)...and then was able to pour the gas into my generator. Takes a little work, since you have to hold back the retaining collar to get the gas to flow (as safety feature), but my unfamiliarity with this is because I really am a novice. My portable generator will hold about 12 gallons of gas. So I drive to the gas station with this Flo-n-go tank, fill it with gas, drive it home, and then repeat a few times to fill the generator, and then I can power my house during those long power outages we have here (I live just outside of Washington DC, where the storms+above ground power lines) leave us without power for 24+ hours a few times a year.

It is great for me as I don't have to lift the gas can to fill the mower. My hand did get tired
from having to hold down the safety lever and pump gas at the same time. My husband didn't like it and says it's easier for him to just pour the gas.

The fuel handle broke within the first three uses and I had fuel everwhere - on the boat, in the water and on me. This thing stinks and I would certainly recommend NOT purchasing. Do not waste your money.
