      Comments about Grampa's Weeder:

I don't have to bend over or roll around on the ground. It works great on most weeds, just position it over the weed push down ,step on it and rock it back.

Some roots broke during removal, but the soil was very compacted and dry.

          Best Uses

          • Airation

          Comments about Grampa's Weeder:

This weeder will only work on small weeds with tap roots less than 5" deep. This is because the prongs on this clever invention are only 2.5" deep. I constantly either missed the root or broke it. Only 1 in 50 tries resulted in actually getting the entire tap root. The design is good but I believe one or two larger models need to be made to cover the larger weeds. With practice I might get better but my first impression is that this tool does a better job at airation than it does weeding.

            Comments about Grampa's Weeder:

We use it to try to get ahead of dandelions. It's fun to use, but you have to remember to turn the weed upside down to prevent the roots from re-rooting themselves. Or you could put weeds in a bag for disposal
