The box arrived damaged with a large hole in the side. When I started to assemble the cart it became clear that I was missing parts and the instructions were not written well. You will need to do a fair amount of figuring on your own as to how it goes together. Had it not been for missing hardware I think the assembly would have been less painful. I needed to go thru my own screws and bolts to match up what I needed to finish.

Use it to store hose and move hose around large yard. Simplifies task of coiling and storing garden hose.

This reel is very sturdy and holds more hose than any other reel I have found. I have 250 feet of heavy duty 3/4" hose on the reel. The hose is easy to wind up and unwind from the reel.

The biggest negative is that all of the shiny metal on the reel (handle, inside of wheels, connection from the hose to the reel in the back, etc.) began to rust within the first year. Some of the painted surfaces began to rust after two years.

The manual suggests spraying the unit with a clear paint to reduce rusting, which I did when I assembled it. My reel is kept outside at the edge of the lawn so it is regularly in the rain and often gets hit by the sprinklers.

I would only recommend this reel if it is kept in a protected location.
