Comments about White Shade Cloth 40% Shade Factor:

My boyfriend and I constructed a free standing greenhouse with EMT piping and fittings. We pulled the shade cloth over the top and sides, using conventional grommets and bungees. The cloth was easy to work with and lightweight. Although it didnt ravel, we did need to tape the edges, as there was some curling on the cut edges. We also taped before hole punch and grommeting, due to the loose weave of the fabric. The white cloth is effective and attractive, my plants are much happier and the birds seem to stay away. Overall we were very happy with the cloth.

Comments about White Shade Cloth 40% Shade Factor:

When I was searching for covering for my orchid shade house, I wanted white as it would be the least obtrusive for my neighbors. I searched everywhere online for polyethylene in white but ONLY found it here at Gemplers. The reason? Mildew resistant and so far, stain-free. We've been using it for over a year and despite regular application of seaweed and other colorful and/or smelly fertilizers and chemicals, there has been no discoloration at all.

We recommend 100% - it is durable, attractive, breathable, high quality material. Just bought a whole lot more to expand the shade house!

Comments about White Shade Cloth 40% Shade Factor:

It is so stinking hot here in central Florida and we're on our 2nd year of drought. Last year my veggies didn't make it. Watered every early AM but they drooped by noon. This year I made large raised gardens which I screwed 2'x4's onto the sides to support shade cloth. I attached grommets to this cloth and secured it over the top of my entire garden to the posts. Now they make it through the whole 95 degree day without wilting. Soil conditions stay great. Use way less water too. What a blessing this cloth is!
