Comments about Motion Sensor Owl:

To clear things up, all products that scare away birds need to be moved at least once a week. This is to prevent birds from figuring out its not real.

As for this product. Its at best an auto-mated Owl w/ spinning head. Its not going to move in the direction a bird flys etc. Its just not worth the money. Get a simply standard one and remember to keep moving it to keep the birds guessing.

This owl is not a true motion sensor, but detects changes in the light level from one of it's 4 sensors, i.e. it's not an infared motion sensor it appears to be a visible light sensor, and needs external sunlight to operate, it will not work under low light conditions, and it will not operate inside.

It was recommended to get an owl to scare off pigeons, this owl was cheaply made and completely ineffective.

We had one area where after an hour of cleaning the poop, you'll see more poop. Since we put the Motion Sensor Owl in that area, there haven't been any signs of any Pidgins in that area. No more poop. I just purchased 5 more of the Motion Sensor Owls, so we'll be able to put two more on the roofs and have 3 for us to move around each week. If you know anyone else who has Pidgin problems, I highly recommend the Motion Sensor Owl.
