I was to use the product to pick up heavy, wet leaves and put them in containers for pickup. The weight combinations of wet leaves and the shovel make working with it too much.

I would have liked a shorter wider shovel but none were available, I wanted a heavy steel scoop shovel and this fit the bill.

I was disappointed with this scoop shovel although the blade size, shape and long handle were what I wanted. I think the both the scoop and handle are too heavy. I have a very old, 40 to 60 years, long handle steel scoop shovel, similar in size, which is considerably lighter which in now cracked from fatigue and worn from moving snow on a large home parking area. I have reinforced it with epoxy and will continue to use it even though I ordered subject shovel, and two others, also not quite what I hoped to get. Most of the time I use the shovel to lift and throw, with minimal effort, snow which has been pushed to the edge of the large parking area with one from a selection of home-made wooden tees with plywood blades, 30 to 40 inch wide, and a broad handle. Occasionally one has to deal with thick ice and scoops are very good for breaking and pushing ice off the parking area. Subject scoop would work well for that.

It is my opinion that the handle has larger than necessary diameter. The coating on the scoop may add durability but I doubt it is worth the added weight. It may help keep snow from sticking to the shovel, which would be positive feature.

We had about two inches of snow today to remove and between a wooden tee and a show blower, recently acquired, we had little need for the shovel and only made use of a smaller scoop to remove an area of packed snow.

I like a long handle for snow removal won't have to bend my back as much.
