great planter most peaple complain about seeder skipping seed but this is usually due to over filling hopper. i have noticed there is a fill line on the inside.have had no problams with mine.plants realy good and works great for small seed like okra and turnips.

Comments about EarthWay Precision Garden Seeder:

A great seeder. Is a fast way to plant. Skips some seeds making plants too far apart. The corn seed cups should be closer together.

Comments about EarthWay Precision Garden Seeder:

I bought the seeder for my father for father's day. He first heard about the seeder from my uncle who love's his seeder. My father has alwasys had trouble planting his okra seeds. Every year he would have to plant the row twice to get a good stand because half of the row wouldn't come up. So he first used the seeder to plant his row of okra. It came up so well he was telling everybody about the seeder. I think it turned out to be one of his all time favorite father's day gifts.

Comments about EarthWay Precision Garden Seeder:

Disperses too much seed most of the time and the seed drop spacing is too close for many seed vareties and wasted seed is a result along with thinning. Seed gets behind the weak plastic seed plate and stops the rotation and/or interferes with the already uneven seed drop. The bolt to allow adjustment to the depth control should be stainless steel rather than a metal that will corrode. You pretty much get what you pay for. I am saving for a heavier duty and better made seeder.
